An Arborist is an efficient tree specialist who makes challenging decisions to accurately prune, remove and assess trees within a landscape.
As an Arborist apprentice you will be assisting an Arborist to assess trees and make decisions, building your skill base and creating a positive and professional working environment.
Your compensation will be a discussion point during the interview process. We believe in paying people what they are worth, guided by their goals and aspirations. We have different pay strategies as well as the normal by hourly pay.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Day to day operations in the company
- Ground work and equipment operation
- Apprentice tree climbing and arborist work
- Build knowledge surrounding trees and woody shrubs
- Attend training to further knowledge
- Operate a chipper and other specialized equipment, i.e. stump grinder, skid steer, chainsaws, pole saws/pruners.
- Mitigate hazards and safely work on hazardous trees
- Choose and load the necessary daily equipment along side the crew leaders
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and vehicles
- Inspect/maintenance equipment when applicable
- Inspect worksite and identify hazards
- Positively interact with customers
- Proven ability to be an effective and motivating team member
OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
- Class 5 Drivers License or higher is required
- Airbrakes Endorsement and driving manual transmission is required
- Enjoys hands-on, physical and outdoor work

**Salary**: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
