Vermeer Canada is growing, both in our portfolio and our team We are looking for a result’s driven Service Technician, passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience. If you enjoy trouble shooting and maintaining various types of Vermeer and other HD equipment and possess the ability to keep equipment running, we would like to hear from you

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION**:

- Troubleshoot equipment failures or malfunctions, initiating parts and field service repairs to reduce or avoid unnecessary customer downtime. Test repaired equipment for performance and reliability
- Perform regular schedule maintenance and repairs of all customer equipment
- Ensures related documentation, i.e. Service reports, timesheets, parts request, etc., are properly completed
- Reviews factory service bulletins and other pertinent information to ensure equipment is up to date
- Conveys a professional presence, ensuring problems are tactfully explained, customer relations are satisfied
- Prepares job estimates, including replacement/spare parts in accordance with work schedules and/or promised completion dates, effects necessary mechanical/electrical/hydraulic repairs, as required
- Maintains a complete familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment
- Maintains and leaves all work areas clean, unobstructed, in a safe and orderly working condition
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on Health and safety
- Attends and participates in toolbox/safety meetings

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Highly motivated, self-starter/effective communicator able to work with minimum supervision
- Detail orientated, possessing a high standard in “Quality of Workmanship” (Doing it right the first time)
- Journeyman, 3rd or 4th year Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent education.
- Previous experience with Vermeer, John Deere, Case, CAT, Ditch Witch and other HD equipment including Drills, Skid Steers, Agricultural Equipment, etc.
- Strong Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting skills
- Good communication skills in both technical and nontechnical aspects
- Clean drivers license
