**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the local Manager, the Logistics Clerk performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of ophthalmic instruments, parts, and medical supplies to customer locations and distribution centers in Canada.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The Logistics Clerk will handle tasks relating to clearing, receiving, unpacking, visual inspection, and shipping ophthalmic instruments and supplies and performing all other related duties in the department.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Enter and track inventory in the ERP system.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper transaction execution for all inventory movements in ERP.
- Ensure proper physical controls regarding inventory are in place and monitored.
- Control the flow of goods and manage inventory stocking locations.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments including Sales, Customer Service and Sales Support, Purchasing, and Finance.
- Send and Receive client calls regarding orders, shipping, and more.
- Ensure documentation is completed and processed efficiently based on requirements.
- Monitor and update Sales Orders accordingly with the help of Sales Representatives.
- Co-ordinate client deliveries with the Technical Services team.
- Occasionally assist the Technical Services team with pre-assembly of equipment.
- Manage the deliveries and all related logístical needs for shows and conventions with the help of our Marketing Specialist.
- Operate Forklift to load and unload freight trucks, and to move heavy equipment and pallets within the warehouse.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma completed;
- Valid driver's license and have a good driving record;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Forklift Certification is preferred.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent ability to work in a team.
- Be able to occasionally lift / move heavy loads
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic knowledge of the customs clearance process.
- Capable of versatility and autonomy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP systems to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
