**Overview**
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team in North York.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images as requested by physicians.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Correctly position patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Perform routine equipment checks, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in radiologic technology.
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. (CMRITO, CAMRT).
- Active certification as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to imaging procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare team.
- Proficiency with computer systems and medical imaging software.

**Schedule**:
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time: 40 hours per week (flexible schedule may be possible)
- Part-time: Hours negotiable
