Our Ajax location is presently recruiting for a **Tower Operator **to join our team.

The Tower Operator contributes to the overall operational effectiveness of the service department by maximizing shop productivity as well by ensuring that all vehicles advance through the shop in a timely and efficient manner.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- **Education and/or experience**_
- Post-Secondary diploma/degree or Minimum 2 years previous experience
- Experience with scheduling in an automotive/heavy truck environment
- Computer experience in MS Office, KARMAK, or equivalent dealership programs
- Mechanical knowledge of a heavy trucks
- 310T License an asset

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
- Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
- Monitor the availability of technicians and inform the Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, and Managers on absences and/or delays
- Use internal repair orders and pre-delivery inspections/checks to help reach production goals and complete internal work in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance workshop productivity and efficiency to Service Management
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA, WHMIS company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including proper use of appropriate PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervise all employees assigned, providing assistance, training, counselling, and motivation, as required

**Language Skills**
- High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee sit, stand, kneel, stoop, bend and lift occasionally.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The noise level in the work environment is minor.
