Irrigation Specialist

By The Yard Landscaping and Construction LTD is hiring a Full Time Irrigation specialist/ supervisor in based Saskatoon but may have day trips to Regina.

**In this role the primary day to day responsibilities are as follows**:

- Irrigation system maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Full residential and commercial irrigation installations
- Review irrigation structure and process and make recommendations on efficiencies or present new ideas
- Create irrigation estimates, designs, and maps as needed
- Irrigation blow outs and startups
- Program and upgrade existing systems
- Assist and work in tandem with our landscape crew on new projects as well as our lawn and property crew with existing systems start up shut down and repairs
- Ability to manage and work with a laborer.

**Your Strengths and Credentials**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in full commercial and residential irrigation installations
- Knowledge of both Poly and PVC piping
- Ability to problem solve and critical think
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to understand and follow irrigation plans
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and desire to be a part of growing a company
- Ability to use a smart phone or tablet for time tracking and reporting
- Strong communication skills with our team and clients
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance to equipment, including mixing of fuels.

Hours in summer consist of Monday to Friday start at 8 am, back approximately 5pm daily (8-10 hours) Saturday and Sunday off. First season is hourly rate, second season is salary optional. average 40 hours per week. Winter hours are weather dependent minimum 3 days a week pay is on salary not to be below standard summer pay.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
