**Reports to**: Director of Distribution

**Location**: Pointe-Claire (Montreal)

**Position Summary**: The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Director of Distribution on daily tasks delivering the expected warehouse performance.

**Essential functions**:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Wholesale experience with an EDI / ASN background and working knowledge of EDI platforms.
- Create and manage daily pick waves in the WMS respecting the priorities and resource constraints.
- Monitor the order pool to ensure proper execution.
- Execute daily updates of the ERP (Netsuite) with order status and appointments.
- Communicate with internal departments (Customer Service, Sales, PLMs, etc.) to ensure proper order execution and to minimize rushes and exceptions.
- Coordinate random compliance audits on Major customers’ orders at the shipping department.
- Coordinate new & special requirements with the shipping department including set-up of new customers.
- Create and manage ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) for specific customers.
- Manage the embroidery, heat seal, and domestic production orders from picking to receiving of the stock.
- Ensure that all steps in the WMS (Highjump) are completed and orders are ship confirmed daily.
- Hand daily tasks over to the evening shift.
- Book appointments for pick-up when necessary.
- Work closely with the department leaders (receiving, VAS, shipping, samples, etc.) to review execution pace and quality.
- Coordinate with Order Pool and VAS according to the priorities and available resources to meet required ship dates (Start Ship Date or Cancel Date depending on the client).
- Monitor appointment logs and makes changes in the daily plan if necessary.
- Interact with the VAS (Value Added Services) department to prioritize the shipments with special requirements.
- Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure accuracy and compliance on picking and shipping methods and special requests.
- Manage vendor manuals and shipment & delivery instructions ensuring that all personnel involved have clear instructions and have the most updated information and training.
- Assist inventory counts, adjustments, and stock organization when required.
- Assist with customer order discrepancy investigation.
- Control the non-inventory purchasing and stock levels to guarantee business continuity.
- Training current and new employees on their tasks (except for forklift, order picker, and electrical jiggers).
- Conduct daily inspections on Health & Safety matters.
- Facilitate the communication and interaction between employees creating a respectful and positive environment.
- Provide feedback and innovative ideas on building a more profitable DC operation.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 5 years of warehouse and distribution experience.
- University degree in related fields (logistics, production, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees across the organization.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Able to work with MS-Excel (minimum intermediate level) and WMS.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Organized and disciplined.
- Proactive and able to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Able to work extra hours when required.
- Bilingual English-French.
