**Role Summary**:
The Manager, Ice District Security & Operations is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and development of security operations and safety of patrons in the Ice District. The Manager will coordinate with Ice District tenants to determine their security requirements, being mindful of cost reduction strategies and potential revenue streams.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Lead security for the Ice District, which includes integrating security for Rogers Place and Ice District tenants.
- Coordinate with Ice District tenants to determine their security requirements such as patrol routes, response times, camera monitoring, etc.
- Develop policies and procedures as needed for Ice District Security including, but not limited to, an emergency response plan.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Manager, Venue Security, responsible for the management, supervision, and development of Control Room Operators and Security Agents, providing direction, guidance, and leadership. This includes hiring additional Control Room Operators and Security Agents.
- In conjunction with the Manager, Security, Systems and Event Command, administer and manage all access control, CCTV, radio, and intrusion detection systems. This includes deploying the Genetec system to ensure technology synergies within the Ice District.
- Track budget expenditures and predict future expenses, keeping in mind cost reduction strategies, efficiencies, and potential revenue streams.
- Provide formal monthly updates to management on progress.
- Assist in reviewing security logs, daily reports, and checklists for security operations to move from a reactive security stance to a proactive one.
- Lead the security deployment for events in the Fan Park and Plaza locations and liaise with Ice District tenants to ensure mínimal disruption to their operations during large events.
- Act as an Event Commander as needed.

**Education, Experience and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of other education and experience.
- Five to seven years management experience in a large public assembly facility; preferably with sports and entertainment.
- Valid Alberta Security License.
- Proven knowledge & experience in performance management and tactical planning for major events.
- Effective supervisory and management experience, focused on performance development, leadership, and retention.
- Exemplary organizational skills, resourceful and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Highly visible leader with a proven track record to successfully lead a multi service team.
- Must be able to work a business hour and event-based schedule which includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Experience with the Incident Command System (ICS) is considered an asset.
- Experience with ABI MasterMind or scheduling software is considered an asset.
- Experience with CCURE, Victor, Genetec and Omnigo operating systems is considered an asset.
- Experience managing customer accounts and retention is considered an asset.
