**Job Description**:
The Manager of R3 Project Engagement and Communications plays a key role in the College-wide R3 Initiative. This initiative includes a project to replace the current Student Information System (GeneSIS). Through this project the College will redesign many student information management processes to better serve students and introduce efficiencies. The project also involves replacing ACSIS through the introduction of a new student portal. R3 is a significant investment for the College and this role helps ensure that the college community is involved in and aware of the new processes and software changes.

The incumbent is responsible for managing the Engagement and Communications Plans for the R3 Project, engaging with the College community, advising on emerging issues, and advising on tactics. The position reports to the Registrar or designee, with direction from the Project Manager, Communications, Change Management, and Training. This position collaborates with the Manager, R3 Project eLearning and Development.

The incumbent:
- Manages project Engagement activities and Communications Plans;- Manages and supports the network of early adopters (i.e. Change Champion Network) who regularly communicate with their Faculties and Departments and provide feedback to the R3 project;- Directly supports Chairs and Managers to understand issues and concerns that may result in ineffective change. Collaborates to develop potential solutions;- Advises project leadership on emerging issues and recommends tactical actions;- Supports change activities within stakeholder groups by coaching and providing stakeholder-specific presentations;- Manages the college-wide R3 project intranet and associated communications;- Plans and analyzes feedback on communications; reviews Change Impacts as they are identified. Advises on adjustments needed to the Communications plan;- Develops and manages key college-side Project events (e.g. R3 SpeakUp);- Performs assessments of “Adoption Readiness” and other surveys, to identify and advise on gaps in communication, engagement, or training;- Develops communications plans for additional components of R3 such changes to BrightSpace;- Undertakes lessons learned interviews and summative reporting at the project conclusion.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a three (3) year advanced diploma or degree in a related field and with deep understanding of post-secondary administration and organization;- A minimum of seven (7) years working within a postsecondary educational institution, preferably some of that time at Algonquin College;- Demonstrated success in developing and executing plans with attention to detail;- Experience planning and delivery complex plans or projects;- Effective communication skills both written and spoken;- Experience establishing and maintaining strong relationships and influence others toward a common goal;-
- Experience using a Student Information System and related processes;- Familiar with unionized, public sector organizations;- Experience using Collaboration (Microsoft Team, Sharepoint) tools and Communications tools (Zoom, Microsoft Office 365, Teams).
