Wind Turbine Technician

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION & TASKS**

ENERCON is currently looking for **Electrical Wind turbine Technician** for a permanent full-time position in our **Nation Rise service center in Limoges, ON**. Reporting to the site manager, the Service Technician will be responsible for the service and repair of wind turbines. Daily tasks includes:

- Plan the inspections and prepare necessary tools and materials for the work
- Perform routine checks
- Drive to various sites
- Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of the turbine tower
- Identify and resolve issues/faults
- Check the central lubrication system
- Perform preventive inspection inside and outside of the blades, by telescope and wired camera
- Track time, tools, parts, daily logs and all ENERCON assets on a daily basis
- Collect data and write reports in the SAP system
- Use various precision instruments (metrology) provided according to the instructions
- Perform all daily tasks while adhering strictly to ENERCONs quality and safety standards

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or Wind Turbine Technician training college program
- 3-5 years experience in wind turbine or electrical maintenance or mechanical (an asset)
- Electrical Journeyman Certificate and Red-Seal (is an asset)
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Availability for overtime, on-call weekend shifts and overnight travel
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
- Safety awareness and solid knowledge of standards and main electrical safety rules
- Ability to read technical drawing (Blueprints) and circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of LOTO procedures
- Understanding and ability to use the personal protective equipment properly (PPE)
