This member of the culinary team will be involved in all areas of the kitchen, stepping in when needed to complete a variety of culinary duties. They may have several responsibilities in the kitchen, all of which have an important role in the quality of the final product. This employee will be responsible for servicing our guests in the Rivers Edge restaurant along with guests visiting Rowena's Inn for fine dining or banquet events.

- Food handling and preparation knowledge
- Knowledge of various pizza styles, toppings, and cooking methods

- 10+ years of high volume experience is an asset

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting the executive chef, banquet chef, executive sous chef, and sous chefs in daily operations
- Effectively communicate with chefs
- Ability to execute all jobs within the culinary department
- Prepares and portions food products prior to cooking
- Execute restaurant line duties
- Assist in preparing and executing special events
- Strong knowledge of menu recipes and assist as required in the development of new menus
- Complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures
- Stocks and maintains sufficient food levels
- Ensure mínimal wastage, implementing ideas for reducing waste wherever possible
- Ensure equipment is in a safe working order. Report all faults to the relevant manager and ensure equipment is not used until safe to do so
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
- Ensure daily task sheets are adhered to and assist with any directions presented by the managing chef

**Salary**: $29.00-$31.00 per hour

- Agassiz, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Cooking: 10 years (required)
