**Position Summary**:
Summerlong’s gardeners are nature-lovers and customer service all stars. We work hard to support thriving plant communities and wow our clients with the living beauty of their gardens.

On a typical day you will meet us at our garden shed or a client’s property. You will weed, deadhead, assess plant health, rake, fertilize, edge beds, water, divide, plant, mulch, top dress and field client questions. Each day is a little different while we consistently offer excellent garden work for our clients.

It is important to note that this is a physically demanding job that requires lifting, crouching, bending and full days spent outdoors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain perennial gardens using hand tools, natural pest management and organic fertilizers.
- Report on work accomplished and materials used during each property visit.
- Prepare yard waste for delivery to a waste management facility.
- Drive independently from location to location.
- Provide high quality service by fulfilling Summerlong’s standards of garden and client care.
- Work in a team on garden installations and larger maintenance projects.
- Maintain good working condition of all gardening tools and supplies.

**You have**:

- Some gardening experience and/or formal horticulture training.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience with physically demanding work.
- Basic English language skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
