Must have held valid reach truck license within the past 2 years (will renew if required).

The primary objective of the Warehouse Specialist is to accurately process customer orders and load/unload vehicles to ensure efficient turnaround times within the warehouse. Products being shipped/received vary from small parts for courier shipping to bulkier boxed/unboxed items on skids for LTL/FTL shipping.

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Pick and process customer orders.
- Assist with receiving product from various suppliers using the computer to allocate bin locations.
- Accurately record quantities shipped or received.
- Accurately record serial numbers of products being shipped or received.
- Load and unload different vehicles, manually, by pump truck or by forklift (depending on the product).
- Build pallets of selected stock while observing standards for height, weight, stability (breaking point), and security of product with shrink wrap.
- Adhere to all safety rules and practices designed to ensure safety of self, co-workers, and stock.
- Prevent and report damages.
- Operate moving equipment safely and ensure equipment is in proper working order before each shift.
- Perform assigned tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment, i.e., sweeping, clean up cardboard, etc.
- Perform regular stock counts and other duties as required.

**Education / Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment with exposure to tasks outlined in Key Accountabilities above.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a single person lift, and assist on 2-3 person lifts for items over 50 lbs.
- Lift truck experience, preferably reach truck, with valid lift truck training, license or the ability to obtain the same.
- Minimum Grade 12, or equivalent, required with good reading comprehension, writing and mathematical skills.
- Must have, or be able to acquire and successfully demonstrate basic PC skills with a proficiency in internet navigation to interact with various carrier websites.

- All required PPE must be worn while performing tasks
- Hours of work may vary according to operational needs such as production demands, fluctuating workloads, vacations and absences, etc.
