**POSITION TITLE**:Fibre Jetter

**LOCATION: Oshawa/Port Perry area**

**REPORTS TO**:General Manager

**Rate of Pay**: $23-27/hour

**SUMMARY: Total Cable Contracting Inc., is the fibre optic construction division of Vianet, a telecom provider that builds, owns, and operates fibre optic and wireless broadband networks across Ontario and has been in business for over thirty years.**

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Running jetting machine to blow fibre optic cable in duct

Fibre connections and termination required

Read maps for jetting fibre

Assist all crew members as needed and requested.

Perform different construction tasks using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and related construction tools.

Assist in transporting, loading, and unloading materials and tools.

Communicate with co-workers for prep work and project coordination.

Regularly perform health and safety inspections of equipment and tools

**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:
Previous experience with micro fibre

Valid class G driver’s license with clean abstract

Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods.

An upbeat attitude with a positive approach to work, punctual and reliable

A team player with the ability to work well with others and assist other field crew members when needed.

Able to work extended hours as required and, in all weather conditions.

Ensure safety of the job site and maintaining equipment.

Book 7 knowledge an asset.
