**Head Athletic Trainer for Football**

1. Oversee all aspects of athletic training for a post graduate football program to include; the evaluation and treatment of student-athletes for injuries, rehabilitation protocols, prevention programs, testing, and other athletic training procedures.

2. Design and implement preseason exercise and rehabilitation programs for student-athletes with histories of injuries or test results that warrant such programs.

3. Make decisions regarding upgrading of rehabilitation programs according to periodic reevaluation of injured student-athletes.

4. Oversee individual student-athlete electronic files with regard to testing, prevention, and rehabilitation program results; records of training-room visits; athletic injury reports; and other data files related to the treatment of student-athletes.

5. Supervise the athletic training room and maintain regular hours in the training room.

6. Develop and supervise treatment protocols.

7. Consult with head coach and strength and conditioning coaches to align training strategies with injury prevention and the needs of injured or recovering student-athletes.

8. In conjunction with team doctor, demonstrate exemplary professional judgment and concern for the welfare of student-athletes in all decision making related to restriction or resumption of athletic participation.

9. Ensure that the entire training staff demonstrates the highest standard of professional behavior in day-to-day relationships with student-athletes and coaches.

10. Ensure that the entire training staff maintains required confidentiality related to student-athlete health information.

11. Develop an exemplary level of confidence on the part of coaches and student-athletes for his or her professional knowledge and the performance of the training staff.

12. Conform to the highest standards of professional conduct regarding compliance with institutional policies and procedures and adherence to the rules and regulations of athletic governance organizations of which the institution is a member.

13. Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all staff, student-athletes, and external constituents through (_a_) a positive and constructive approach to all tasks, (_b_) respect for the competencies of others, and (_c_) appropriate conflict resolution behavior.

14. Work with the General Manger in regard to budgets and personnel.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Great Barrington, MA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
