**Topman Helper - Water and Sewer**

**Job Type**: Full Time, Seasonal

**Schedule**:10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

**Location**: Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s** - **no direct access to public transportation

**Essential**:Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

**Requirements**:

- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Valid Driver’s License (non GDL)

**Pre-employment**:

- Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

**Topman Helper Responsibilities**:

- Inspection of materials and piping.
- Assist with installation of piping in the trench.
- Complete checks on grade and alignment.
- Shoot with a rod and level.
- Shoot grade with transit.
- Help to direct and signal heavy equipment operators.
- Assist with installation and repair a variety of water and sewer lines.
- Perform manual and labour intensive tasks as assigned.
- Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
- Assist with levelling top surface according to grade and depth specification.
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year experience as a Topman Helper in Water and Sewer.
- Experience Shooting grades with a Rod and Level and or Batterboards.
- Ability to work in physically demanding work conditions
