**Production Operator (Specialty) - Oakville**

Safety and housekeeping will be the first requirement in all activities. Operator must know and follow all safety rules, model programs, and procedures associated with the Specialty Production department.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Operate equipment efficiently and ensure the production of high-quality Specialty products.
- Cooperate and work in a team environment while maintaining consistent attendance.
- Under the guidance of the Specialty Supervisor, the employee performs duties such as packaging Specialty products, running **CNC/Brake Presses**, performing housekeeping duties and other duties as required.
- Self-motivated individuals with an ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Exercise personal safety, promote and enforce safety among crew members.
- Develop and maintain good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments at the plant.
- Assist in the implementation of USG/CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
- Carry out special projects and assignments as directed by Management.
- Able to work flexible hours and all shifts.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- High School diploma required.
- College diploma in sheet metal fabrication will be considered an asset.
- Prior work experience in sheet metal fabrication will be considered an asset.
- Hands on experience operating, setting up and troubleshooting Brake Presses and CNC machines will be considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing business conditions to support needs of department.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
