Position Summary

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing and directing continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing plant while also managing the quality control program. He/she will ensure that processes needed for the management system are established, implemented, and maintained. This role will lead improvement efforts and ensure that quality requirements are met throughout the organization. This role is also responsible for supervising quality personnel. Reporting to the General Manager, this leader ensures first-time quality is a priority while ensuring a productive work force and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the forward momentum in continuous Improvement, through sound quality processes and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
- Lead functional team to support plant SQDC goals.
- Responsible for maintaining all Quality System functions.
- Works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate and priorities business needs.
- Scheduling and performance of Internal Quality Audits
- Maintaining and scheduling the calibration of company owned measuring devices
- Scheduling and performing corrective action problem solving sessions as required (8D or 5 Why)
- Developing and updating quality system documentation as required
- Facilitate root cause / corrective action efforts resulting from internal and external drivers and audits.
- Facilitate and resolve external non-conformances that originate from external suppliers.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive rapid improvements in operational performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to plant teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward goals.
- Drive a culture of problem-solving and innovation within the manufacturing plants.
- Collaborate with leadership to align continuous improvement efforts with overall business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- In-depth knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven experience in driving cultural change towards continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Leadership attributes resulting in successful business results
- 8 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with Quality Systems (especially ISO9001: 2015) and Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement) Methodologies
- Proven track record of successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Experience in managing continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional knowledge of CMM, VMM, and other measuring equipment; experience working with high tolerances
- Preferred: Familiarity with the plastic injection molding process
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Management, or related field
- Preferred: ISO9001: 2015 Lead Auditor
