Under direct supervision of the Project Manager, the **Operator In Training** accomplishes a variety of duties related to the daily operation of water and wastewater facilities (collection, treatment and distribution). H2O Innovation is looking to fill one position in Johnson, VT.

**THE DAY-TO-DAY**
- Conducts routine testing of wastewater as directed, records test results and maintains the plant log book with accurate and timely entries of activities;
- Monitors all charts, gauges and other operating equipment and calibrate the plant instrumentation and on-line analyzers according to the frequency specified by permitting agencies and/or the manufacturer;
- Calculates chemical feed rates, calibrates chemical equipment and adjusts chemical feed rates as indicated by lab tests or by direction of the Plant Manager to comply with effluent quality requirements as established for the plant. Adjusts or alters chemical treatment of plant processes as required;
**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES DESIRED**
- Experience in a lab, and/or with Plumbing and Electrical preferred;
- Mechanical Maintenance experience preferred;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to work with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook);
- Valid state driver’s license;
- On-call availability within a 30 minute response time and rotational weekend duty is required for this position;
- Ability to work alone, with mínimal supervision is a must;
- Ability to work with a computer is a must.

**CONDITIONS**:
Overall remuneration including:

- $18.00 hourly;
