Head Houskeeper

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and professional presentation of guest rooms and common areas (public bathrooms, bar, lobby, hallways, offices). As a hands-on member of the housekeeping team, the Housekeeping Manager will ensure that employees will complete their daily tasks safely, treat other team members with respect and ensure guests are provided with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Clear communication and good organizational skills will be key to your success as a supervisor.
- Assign all room lists and assign them to teams of Room Attendants
- Check all rooms to ensure the quality of work is maintained
- Supervise Housekeeping Room Attendants as they perform their duties
- Coordinate the stripping of the rooms with Laundry and the Room Attendants
- Assist with basic guest services and housekeeping duties: include bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and rooms, laundry and general maintenance
- Ensure all Housekeeping Rooms and carts are fully stocked with linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies
- Work quickly, efficiently without compromising quality of work
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and kindness
- Report any technical issues or maintenance needs
- Provide input to all performance evaluation
- Assist with training and coaching of new employees
- Ensure that all Occupational Health & Safety policies and training are followed
- Be a member of the Emergency Team

**What attitudes, skills experience and abilities are we looking for?**
- Experience as a Housekeeping Room Attendant and/ or Supervisor is preferred
- Must be a team player, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Strong communication skills
- Customer oriented and friendly
- Leadership skills
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- A Criminal Record Check is required
- Must be legal to work in Canada
