Pickering, Canada 407 East Development Group General Partnership Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize and execute various duties as directed.
- General highway maintenance — Litter Removal, Fence Repair, Landscaping, Road Surface Repairs, Winter Maintenance operation, and repairs to highway infrastructure (i.e. Crash systems, signs, SBGR).
- Provide maintenance activities such as, sign repair, road sweeping, bridge washing & maintenance, small concrete repairs.
- Operation of Winter maintenance equipment as required and other winter repairs to infrastructure as required.
- Provide traffic control services and assist emergency/incident response efforts when required. Set up and removal of closures required for routine maintenance operations, and emergency response on a 400 series highway.
- Operation and maintenance of equipment, such as but not limited to: sweepers, torches, quick cuts, snow removal equipment, tele handlers, chainsaws, tractors, weed eaters, UTV’s, tandem axel dump trucks, and various other traffic control devices including TMA’s, Skid Steer, Farm Tractor with Brush Hog, and Loaders.
- Highway asset management, inspection, and data collection when requested.
- Four-week rotational on-call schedule. Must be available 24hrs when on call.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Basic knowledge of routine road maintenance activities.
- Experience and knowledge of operating equipment such as mini-excavators, skid steer and front-end loaders (operating certificates an asset).
- **Minimum **DZ license required, AZ preferred.
- Knowledge of OTM Book 7 Traffic Control.
- Team player.
- Flexible working hours.
- Will have a requirement to be on-call when requested.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 80 lbs (36kg).

**Salary**: From $25.35 per hour
