As a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of maintenance tasks while maintaining accurate records and handling various logístical responsibilities. Your duties will involve overseeing shipping and receiving processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and serving as the main technician in the shop, specializing in welding and other technical tasks related to DPF systems.

**Key duties and responsibilities**

**Efficient Maintenance Scheduling**:

- Schedule maintenance tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize workflow.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance to ensure timely completion.

**Accurate Paperwork Management**:

- Ensure all paperwork related to maintenance, repairs, and logistics is accurately completed and up to date.
- Upload relevant documentation to OneDrive or similar platforms for easy access and organization.

**Logistics Handling**:

- Handle shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of DPF components and equipment.

**Inventory Management**:

- Take ownership of inventory accuracy by conducting regular checks and updates.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as ordering supplies, tracking usage, and optimizing stock levels.

**Technical Expertise**:

- Serve as the main technician in the shop, demonstrating expertise in welding and other technical tasks related to DPF systems.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

**Customer Interaction and Communication**:

- Engage with walk-in traffic, addressing inquiries, and providing assistance as necessary.
- Act as the branch's main point of contact for internal and external communications.

**Collaboration and Training**:

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Provide training and guidance to new technicians to ensure smooth integration into the team.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to health and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Participate in safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

**Required experience and skills**

**Relevant Skill Set**:

- Technical expertise in welding and other mechanical tasks related to DPF systems is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork, inventory, and logistics efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a workshop environment.
- Customer service skills for addressing inquiries and providing assistance to walk-in customers.

**Physical and Mental Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks associated with maintenance and repair work.
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
