**Building a Culture of Customer Service**: Provide customers with friendly, helpful, and efficient service in every interaction. **Friendly**: Smile, make eye contact, greet, compliment customers purchase, and thank them. **Helpful**: Respond quickly to customers as they approach the cash register, shares sale/promotional information, and informs customers of store values, and product info. **Efficient**: Keep transactions moving. Be alert to customers waiting, work efficiently, and call for additional sales assistance as needed.
- **Merchandising**:Follow floorwork assignments throughout the day as scheduled by the manager. Helps maintain organization and shopability of the clothing department, jewelry and giftware areas and eliminate deadstock. Pick up items off the floor, return items to the proper areas, fold clothing. Dust, clean, and organize clothing racks and shelves. Keep back stock areas organized. Help with any window changes or remerchandising.
- **Cash Register**: Smile and greet each customer. Provide accurate, fast, and efficient checkout service using the POS procedures as well as packaging sold items. Calls for assistance when more than two people are in line or may have to wait more than three minutes. Makes sure cash drawer balances at the start and finish of shift. Make sure there's enough change in till.
- **Change Rooms**:Provides courteous service for customers at the fitting rooms. Counts the number of items the customer is taking into the fitting room. Upon exiting the change room, the team member counts the number of items coming out, and hangs up/puts back unwanted items in the proper area according to size. Keeps the change rooms clean, free of clothing and debris.
- **Telephone**: Answers the telephone within three rings in a courteous manner using the proper greeting. Asks caller to please hold when ringing in a customer in front of them, and gets assistance from another free team member when needed. Listening to caller to provide answers or directs caller to manager.
- **Meets Targets**: Regularly meets targets as assigned by the manager
- **Loss Prevention**: Follows loss prevention procedures, including but not limited to reporting internal or external thefts to the manager. Maintains responsibility for cash in till; ensuring cash count during shift switch are done in a timely fashion, and that the cash drawer is only open for the time required to complete a cash transaction.
- **Other**: Other tasks as assigned by the manager. This can include working in, and/or assisting another team member in, a different area in our stores, or with cleaning (including bathrooms, common areas), etc.
