The **Janitor** performs janitorial duties in accordance with Cascade Aerospace policies and procedures.

**This position belongs to the bargaining unit and shall abide by all rules and regulations set out in the Collective Agreement.**

**_Only Canadian Residents or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time._**

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Strive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects Cascade Aerospace’s culture and values, and Human Resources' safety and security policies and procedures;
- Ensure all daily and weekly janitorial tasks are completed in accordance with Cascade Aerospace’s policies and procedures;
- Make daily rounds and ensure that all offices, washrooms, hallways and hangers are in order;
- Clean urinals, toilets, sinks and floors in washrooms daily and ensure all washrooms are sufficiently stocked with towels, soap and toilet accessories;
- Fix small repairs on toilets, sinks, dispensers, and other small items as required;
- Empty all garbage bins in the building daily;
- Clean and sweep dark grey areas of hangar floors and clean up oil and chemical spills when required;
- Clean lunchrooms daily including, tables, chairs, counter tops and spot clean walls and woodwork when required;
- Clean and vacuum office floors, reception area and hallways including stripping and waxing linoleum floors;
- Dust office equipment and furniture and straighten up materials when required;
- Wash walls, doors, windows and handrails;
- Recycle pop cans and other items from offices and general areas;
- Perform other duties as required.

**CORE SKILLS**
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written English;
- Friendly disposition and ability to work independently with little supervision;
- Thorough knowledge of WHMIS;
- Good work ethic with proven good attendance and punctuality;
- Availability to work a variety of shifts;
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change;
- Knowledge of proper sanitization procedures;
- Good physical condition and ability to lift over 50 lbs.

**TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent;
- Building Services Worker Certificate an asset;
- 1-2 years experience performing cleaning and janitorial duties;
- 1-2 years experience and training using variety of cleaning equipment.
