Please note that this position is for individuals with some experience in carpentry looking to enter a program to become an apprentice carpenter. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the carpentry trade. **Responsibilities**:

- Assist carpenters with various tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Assist with the installation of cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Assist with the construction of frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs
- Assist with drywall installation and finishing
- Aid in the restoration and repair of damaged structures
- Help with construction painting and finishing tasks
- Operate power tools and other equipment under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in carpentry
- Experience in the use of power tools and their safe operation
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction plans an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions and to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Comfortable working at heights
- Must have transportation
- Must have personal safety gear including safety rated work boots and work gloves
- Organized and punctual
- Professional and respectful

Precision Contracting is a growing contracting business that has been in operation for 10 years, building strong relationships with our clients, employees, sub-contractors, and the community we serve.

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
