Join our dynamic and experienced team as a Professional Equipment Operator at Torino Construction. As a key member of our workforce, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale construction projects. We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual who possesses a deep understanding of various heavy equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and construction site protocols.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, telehandlers, and compactors, to execute tasks such as excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling.

2. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and fellow team members. Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

3. Project Execution: Collaborate closely with the construction team to execute project plans efficiently. Utilize your expertise to contribute to the completion of projects within specified timelines, maintaining high standards of quality.

4. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisors and assist with coordinating repairs as needed.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, equipment usage, and maintenance activities. Provide regular progress reports to supervisors to facilitate project tracking and planning.

6. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and productivity through effective equipment usage and process improvements.

7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate tasks, address concerns, and ensure seamless workflow.

8. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and equipment advancements. Participate in training programs to improve your skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator in a large-scale construction environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, telehandlers, and compactors.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Physical stamina and willingness to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
