**Part-time Store Associate - Specialty Middle Eastern Foods**

**Summary**:
The Store Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at a specialty Middle Eastern food store. Culturally intelligent, personable, and professional, the Store Associate forms relationships with customers and represents the store in a positive manner. With knowledge and interest in Middle Eastern cuisine, the Store Associate provides product recommendations to customers and works with management to improve sales.

**Job duties**:

- Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company in a positive manner; work with management to resolve customer complaints
- Learn to identify customer needs or desires in order to recommend the appropriate product
- Learn about the products and be knowledgeable in Middle Eastern cuisine to be able to answer questions from customers
- Operate POS system and follow store procedures
- Clean the store and restock shelves
- Provide feedback to management to enhance store quality and improve sales

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service role within the food services industry or equivalent
- Excellent English verbal and written communication
- Intermediate Arabic and/or Farsi language fluency
- Familiar with Middle Eastern products and cuisines
- Personable and professional to build relationships with customers
- Detail orientated with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Weekday morning and flexible weekend availability
- Able to lift up to 40lbs

**Wage**:
$15.20 - $17.00 an hour dependent on qualifications

**Hours**:
20 - 30 hours a week between the hours of 10am - 7pm Monday-Saturday, and 12pm - 5pm Sunday

**Please Note**: We are not offering immigration benefits through this position.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.20-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

- Weekends as needed

- 4 hour shift

- Grocery store
