**Who we are looking for**

**Responsibilities**
- Write scripts for corporate videos and brand videos, and assist with video shoots from a script or interview perspective.
- Write social media posts, create social media content calendars, manage boosted posts and social media engagement.
- Conduct keyword research to inform content marketing strategy and content planning
- Write website content and optimize website copy for SEO. Upload content to client sites.
- Assist in making or managing updates to client websites.
- Proofread and edit all forms of written content as needed
- Write marketing reports and campaign summaries.
- Assist with other agency services as needed

**Your Skills**
- An ability to help create a wide range of content from a writing and story perspective including video content, website copy, social content, brand/marketing messaging, and longer format written content.
- A clear ability to discern and create high-quality content in terms of the overall message, creativity, tone, and story flow.
- Excellent attention to detail in terms of tone, spelling, grammar etc.
- Able to incorporate best practices with emerging trends.
- Intuition with knowing when to ask questions, change your approach, and request further clarification.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing deliverables and deadlines.
- Able to work in a team setting and independently.

**Qualifications**
- 1-4 years of content writing, copywriting, journalism, or any other writing-based work
- Strong creative writing skills and the ability to take multiple perspectives on the topic
- Inherent understanding of writing for a target audience(s) with specific marketing campaign objectives in mind.
- Familiar with digital marketing strategies and various digital content channels
- Highly developed social media acumen, and expertise in multiple social media platforms
- Detail and customer-oriented, with good multitasking and organizational ability
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
- Able to work in a team setting and independently

**Nice to Have**:

- Scriptwriting experience
- Experience updating content on different web platforms such as WordPress etc.
- Digital marketing or experience with paid social media campaigns
- Client or customer-facing experience

Maven is a Calgary based marketing and production team that specializes in Marketing, Video Production, and Live Events. Our three service lines all work together to provide comprehensive content solutions for our clients. We are a tight-knit team that values in-person collaboration, creative thinking, and a dedication to producing high-quality work. Our head office is located in Calgary’s Beltline district, and our production warehouse is located in the Manchester industrial park.
