**QA Tester**

DMI is hiring a QA Tester to join our talented team of consultants at DMI Montréal. As a QA Tester at DMI, you should thrive in a fast-paced high energy environment that will give you the opportunity to impact our client's and our company's success.

**Duties and**

**Responsibilities**:
**Your Responsibilities**
- **Work with business analysts and developers to create test plans and test cases from use cases/user stories**:

- **Be the liaison with client’s Test & Release teams**:

- **Ensure that business requirements are mapped to the functional specification and have effective test coverage**:

- **Perform thorough test planning and write test cases that cover all areas**:

- **Support performance, security, and accessibility testing**:

- **Prepare & maintain test data**:

- **Track test case status and log bugs and fixes**:

- **Perform manual and automated testing**:

- **Develop, execute, refine and maintain Automation Test cases/scripts**:

- **Design and write automation scripts, debug test cases, use automation frameworks, probe into problems that arise post-testing**:

- **Ensure that the software code meets both functional and non-functional requirements and fulfills the acceptance criteria**

Qualifications:
**Education and Years of Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent

experience)

**Required and Desired Skills/Certifications**:

- Solid knowledge of Quality Assurance practices & testing methodologies
- Experience in reading requirements and acceptance criteria to create QA test scripts
- Experience with manual testing, coupled with building test plans, test scripts and test cases
- Knowledge of automation testing highly desired, with exposure to one or more test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Postman, Appium, JMeter, etc.
- Proficiency in languages used to script tests
- Experience in performance, security, and accessibility testing
- Experience in JIRA or similar defect tracking tool.
- Understanding of Agile methodology and working experience in Agile environment
- Working knowledge of DevOps & automation practices/tools
- Excellent understanding of the entire software development life cycle
- Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Interest in new technologies and high motivation for continuous learning
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent communication/presentation skills
- Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team

**Additional Requirements**:

- Consulting experience
- Background working in an Agile team & methodology to QA software
- Expertise in QA Test Automation practices and tools
