**Responsibilities**:

- Repair, maintenance and installation of all accessibility equipment for homes
- Fabrication on items unique to medical equipment industry is required
- Quality control checks done on all repairs
- Ensure paperwork filled out for each installation and service call
- Working in various environments such as outside during the winter or in client homes
- Outside service calls are required as well as some overnight travel
- Attend all required training which may include travelling outside of Canada
- Repair maintenance of all accessibility equipment for homes (including but not limited to stair chairs, patient lifts, porch lifts, and handicapped elevators)
- Fabrication on items unique to medical equipment industry
- Ensure manufacturers’ guidelines and specifications are adhered to and that equipment is safe to operate
- Contact manufacturers for assistance for repair guidance
- Set up of new product for customers and the show room
- Quality control checks done on all repairs
- Communicate to Service Writer repair status upon request
- Ensure there is sufficient stock on parts including ordering for work orders
- Calling suppliers for pricing on parts
- When required follow the direction of more senior Technicians to speed up repair process
- Collect payment from customers after service call completed
- Keep work area neat, clean and free of clutter
- Assist the sales department with any problems relating to accessibility equipment
- Display respectful behaviour at all times to employees, clients, managers and stakeholders

**Minimum Education and Experience**
- Fabricating/electronics/construction trades/technical experience an asset
- Extensive mechanical knowledge
- Ability to weld considered a plus
- Computer literate
- Clean criminal record check may be required
- Managing processes and a knowledge of the market and clients’ needs
- Customer service experience
