**General Laboratory Tasks**:

- Record the Laboratory Temperature and Equipment Temperatures on their respective QC Forms.
- Complete training required to be authorized to perform different tasks as directed in **SOP 1.2** Employee Training.
- Complete Read and Understand Training on all new revisions of Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to your role.
- Performing and documenting the area cleans of equipment
- Participate in the investigation process as required by Quality Assurance.
- Reporting any non-conforming issues and Out of Specifications to Quality Assurance as per **SOP 29.0** Non-Conformance and OOS Issues.

**Sample Set-up work station**:

- Clean and sanitize workspaces before beginning work for the day using the sporicidal cleaning agent and IPA.
- Restock media required to begin work for the day and coordinate with the media department on the media requests.
- Set-up of samples on the set-up cart as requested by customers in accordance with the appropriate test methods and **SOP 3.0** Sample Set-up.
- Perform Shelf-life analysis studies as directed by client methods and the relevant standard methods for the requested bacterium.
- Participate in Proficiency testing and verification of the equipment as assigned.
- Perform Microbial enumeration tests of Natural Health Products as directed in **SOP 47.0** NHP Microbial Analysis and the associated USP and Health Canada Standard Methods.

**Media Work Station**:

- Inventory checking of all prepared media and consulting with other staff to determine daily priorities for media preparation
- Inventory control of all powdered media, chemicals, solutions, supplements, etc.
- Preparation of nutrient broths and stock solutions as directed in the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Document the preparation of all medias, broths and diluents in the respective QC Records.
- Preparation of molten agars and completion of associated QC Records
- Preparation of media for water analysis and completion of associated QC records.

**What you bring**:

- Bachelor/Diploma in Microbiology/Biotechnology
- Minimum 1 year recent related work experience is required
- Availability on weekend is required

**This position has at least three months probationary period**

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
