**Job Description**:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Check through the library to view the available list of CNC programs.
- Make sure the proper CNC program is active on the screen or call up the required program if needed.
- Make sure the machine will start from the beginning of a CNC program or reset the program to its beginning.
- Understand “T” codes in CNC programs to determine which tool offsets must be affected for size changes.
- Adjust sizes on machine through offset changes and cartridge adjustments to achieve tolerances specified on process sheets.
- Index and replace cutting inserts.
- Demonstrate knowledge of direction of machine axes for all turrets.
- Demonstrate knowledge and use of block skip, optional stop (M01), programmed stop (M000) and single block functions.
- Display the “CHECK” function while executing a CNC program to determine distances to go.
- Rotate tool turrets to select any tool positions from 1 to 8 (Kitako).
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.
- Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Education and/or Experience:_
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer Numerical Control Machining Program Certificate or equivalent required
- Qualifications:_
- Must have working knowledge of machining principles and practices
- Familiar with CNC controls and programming techniques
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, in the automotive industry is an asset
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of conventional machine methods is an asset
- Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality
