We are hiring a Funder, Commercial Mortgages

**Reporting To**: Assistant Manager, Commercial Mortgages

**Full-Time/Part
- Time**: Full-time

**Posting Date**: February 28, 2023

**Hours of Work**: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

**Grade**: 5

**The Opportunity**:
The Funder, Commercial Mortgages, is responsible for assisting with the closing commercial loan transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Process progress draw requests
- Setup initial paperless files
- Review & bookmark Commitment Letter and CMHC Certificate of Insurance
- Complete third-party instructions to reflect the loan structure and particularities.
- Full onboarding of loan in Optimus
- Complete templates & checklists with loan details and pre-funding deliverables required.
- Inputting of data on Optimus (Insurance, taxes, and peripheral items)
- Arrange for the execution of various documents by the appropriate signatories and distribution to the requesting parties.
- File related documents, maintenance, and organization of files
- Full onboarding of deals originated by third parties.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Assistant-Manager & Manager, Commercial Mortgage Funding

**The Requirements Needed**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Analytical thinker and risk mitigating mindset.
- Must adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with ability to perform extra duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work independently and take ownership of their own portfolio with mínimal supervision.
- Post-secondary education (degree preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in finance, preferably in mortgage financing
