Iron Worker

**Full Job Description**

Ironworkers fabricate, construct, and connect structural steel buildings and miscellaneous steel works. They erect structural steel components on both new projects and sometimes perform reconstructive and reinforcing work on existing structures.

You are an Ironworker with experience to support us on commercial and industrial projects. Work conditions are outside and you must be able to work on heights. Some heavy lifting involved.

You will be an integral part of the Island Team working on multiple active construction projects, as a part of our Field Team. This is a full-time position, reporting to Island Project Foremen on site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Erect steel for structural steel buildings and structural steel
- Install of Misc. Metals
- Bolt up and impacting
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
- Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
- Rigging and setting of building modules
- Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment

**Requirements**:

- Would be an asset to be a registered apprentice in Ironworker or Welder trade and/or willing to register
- Current and valid training and certification in AWP operation would be an asset
- Current and valid training and certification in Fall Protection would be an asset
- All Field Employees to have Basic Ironworker Tools
- Valid drivers license

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
