What You’ll Be Doing

As the Senior Portfolio Risk Specialist, Risk Analytics, you will be leading risk data management to support risk analytics, providing support on developing and producing portfolio risk dashboards and other regular reports to monitor Retail Lending portfolio performance and provide insights for senior management to make decisions. As part of Portfolio Monitoring team, this position will also be involved in in-depth analysis on credit losses and delinquency based on large amount of data from a variety of data sources to understand risk trend and generate insights.

How You’ll Succeed- Risk Data Management - You will maintain and enhance risk data process to support risk analytics with accuracy and efficiency. You will investigate and communicate data issues, and serve as SME in risk data. You will be leading data control implementation for strong data control environment.- Risk Analysis - With good understanding of Retail risk portfolio and associated risk data you will translate complex portfolio performance questions to analysis design to derive actionable information from large number of data. You work with Account Management and Acquisition teams to provide portfolio impact analysis of risk strategy changes. optimization.- Reporting - You will prioritize work items to make sure reports/analyses are delivered on time. You will use tools such as SAS EG and MS Office to prepare risk dashboards and other reports and perform analyses to monitor portfolio performance and develop insights. You will work closely with Finance and Collection to validate credit loss numbers and understand impact of their operation on portfolio performance.- Communication with Business Acumen - You understand our clients and keep up to date on retail lending products, processes, data sources, and overall Canadian economy to understand the impact on portfolio performance. You will develop presentation to communicate portfolio insights with business language.

Who You Are- You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.- You are experienced in programming with SAS. You are comfortable to develop efficient SQL to prepare data from different data sources to support complext risk analytics. You have good understanding of mathematical or statistical analysis software tools (SAS preferred), database management, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.- You understand project management. You are comfortable with developing project plan to address complex business requirements and leading projects by managing resources and priorities.- It is an asset if you have undergraduate degree in quantitative areas such as mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, or another applicable discipline.- Values matter to you.
