Ace Hotel Toronto is our first-ever home in Canada, in the heart of the Fashion District, near St. Andrew’s Market and Playground. But we’re gonna need your help.

Responsible for accurately stocking, reporting, itemizing and cleaning the mini bars in guest rooms. The Mini Bar Attendant takes inventory and restocks guest room mini bars on a daily basis and processes the guests’ charges for the items used.

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate inventory and security of storage items.
- Maintain all items stocked in mini bars.
- Use POS to accurately charge the guest for any items used.
- Prepare and submit paperwork required for audit in an organized and efficient manner.
- Ensure the most accurate and up-to-date occupancy reports are utilized prior to entering a guest room.
- Initiate maintenance requests for necessary repairs & upkeep.
- Removal of trash from mini bar and refrigerators.
- Abide by cleanliness, sanitation and organization standards of work areas; rectify any deficiencies.
- Practice safe lifting and transporting procedures and adhere to all safety regulations.
- Display a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, customers and fellow co-workers.
- Actively listen and immediately respond to all guest inquiries and issues.

- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, leadership, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution.
- Have superb time management skills.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.
- Other language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities as outlined below.
- Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.
- Knowledge and understanding of Atelier & Ace Culture & initiatives
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The individual should be a High School Graduate and/or any combination of experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively fulfill the requirements of this job description.
LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, and REASONING ABILITIES
- Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests.
- Ability to acknowledge guests’ requests in a polite manner.
- Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred).
- Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical hotel environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Sit, walk, and stand continuously.
- Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally)
- Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
- Use dominant hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
