**Job Title**:Commercial Officer

**Salary**:$84,588 - $95,478

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Supporting the Manager of Industrial & Technological Benefit (ITB) with the preparation, implementation and maintenance of the CSC (Canadian Surface Combatant) ITB Management and Offset Plans, subsidiary plans and deliverables
- Supporting the Manager of ITB with the management of all aspects of BAE Systems’ Offset process & comply with contractual requirements
- Translating offset objectives into action plans and ensure all offset commitments are achieved.
- Supporting the generation and provision of internal management briefings on offset status and help to generate external offset reports
- Supporting the Manager of ITB to develop sources of ITB credits through discussions with government agencies, key suppliers, defence & marine industry associations, other business units within BAE Systems and Canadian industry
- Supporting the Manager of ITB with communications internally and externally with;
- Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI)
- Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED)
- Regional Development Agencies (RDAs)
- Canadian industry

**Your skills and experiences**:

- General knowledge of offset principles
- Exceptional business acumen and understanding of business transactions (e.g. purchase orders, licensing, technology transfer etc.)
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to solve issues
- Customer Relationship Management skills

**The Commercial team**:
You will be working within a small close knit team in the commercial sector engaging with stakeholders across the wider business and collaborating on multiple short term/long term projects with the UK team and Canadian government. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
