Heavy Equipment Operator

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate Dozer as it applies to ditching, sloping, support clean-up in excavations, dump sites and maintaining haul roads etc.
- Conduct a pre-operational equipment inspection checklist before operating
- Perform work in a safe manner
- Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
- Report all incidents, near-misses, and damage of the equipment to site supervision
- Ability to identify hazards
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Must be able to direct trucks on a dump site

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years of dozer experience with experience in gravel pits or quarry's, road construction and urban renewal projects, finishing experience is an asset
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have proven ability to work in tight spots
- Strong problem solving skills in a fast paced environment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
- Possess a valid Driver’s License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Schedule:

- Overtime - 12hrs, 7am-7pm
- day shifts
- willing to work weekends/long weekends if needed

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Glenevis, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
