**Warehouse**
- Amherst, NS- CPU- Oct 21, 2024Unloads and breaks down freight (eg. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc)
Sorts and organizes freight
Operate various types of material handling equipment
Sort, repack, and label freight
Identify unusable pallets
Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
Remove items from sorting bins, scan and place onto conveyer belt
Remove items from packing bins, scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy, produce packing list and bag items
Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures. (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition

**Job Requirements**:
6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment - continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (ie electric pallet jack)
Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
Excellent customer service required
Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
Effective communication skills
Safety shoes are required
