Floral Wholesale

Mt. Newton Floral is a family-based business that has been in operation since 1986. Located on the beautiful Saanich Peninsula of southern Vancouver Island, Mt. Newton is a floral farm, bouquet supplier and cut flower wholesaler. We are currently going through an exciting time of growth and are looking to add an experienced _**Wholesale Distribution Associate **_to our team

**Job Purpose**:
**Duties**:

- Ensure the quality and distribution of product to customer carts
- Assist with set up of warehouse to ensure smooth distribution process
- Maintain knowledge of product and seasonal items
- Working in collaboration with all staff to ensure optimal service is being offered to our customers

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience working within a nursery/greenhouse, or any type of horticultural environment is an asset, but not required
- Must have exceptional communication skills
- Keen attention to detail, with an ability to adapt and find creative solutions
- Outgoing personality, friendly and a strong team player
- Must be flexible with schedule, some evening and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the business.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and to lift items up to 25lbs.

We offer an extensive ‘hands on’ training program, competitive salary, and benefits after 6 months.

Extended hours and weekends are required during the holiday seasons (Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving)
