**Position Overview**:
**Major Job Functions**:

- Coordinating and performing terrain stability assessments and/or mapping for a variety of resource development projects.
- Completing road deactivation assessments and associated prescriptions.
- Watershed and/or hydrologic assessments.
- Preparing associated professional reports and/or mapping products for the above.
- Use of computer software such as CorelDraw, ArcMap, or QGIS for creation of maps; prior experience an asset
- Completing Field Reviews during implementation of the prescriptions developed above.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
- Strong technical analysis and technical writing capabilities
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work and occasional travel
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work on numerous projects
- Willingness to learn and work under limited supervision

**Education and Experience**:

- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geoscience, Geology, Geological Engineering, or similar field
- At least 5 years of work experience in geoscience related field
- **Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Geoscientist with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC)
