The Hakem Lab is seeking to fill a full-time position for a Research Technician to perform experiments within the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Our research program is focused on understanding cancer mechanisms and identification of novel therapies.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform Western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence.
- Cell culture and transduction with shRNA and Crispr gRNA lentiviruses.
- Genotyping of mouse strains and manage our mouse colony.
- Help trainees with their experiments
- Maintain detailed records of experimental data.
- General lab management.
- Maintain strong communications with the supervisor
- Perform molecular biology assays including PCR, RT-PCR, and DNA cloning
- Performs moderately complex analyses
- Interprets test results and experiments
- Communicates and maintains records of experimental data
- Monitors and maintains lab chemical/cell stocks and/or equipment
- Orders and maintains inventories of supplies, animals, and/or equipment

***QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelors Degree.
- 3 years related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, instruments, equipment and special techniques
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills essential
- Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Willing to perform different laboratory shifts if required by the laboratory
