The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide a range of client-focused interventions for children (until eligible for senior kindergarten) and their families at CHEO and in the community. This will include education, assessment, parent directed programs, individual and group treatment, consultation to licensed child care centres, mediated therapy and consultation to parents and caregivers. Responsibilities will include services for clients in the areas of speech, language, fluency and include families whose primary language is other than French or English.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Essential)
- Registration with CASLPO (Essential)
- Minimum two (2) years experience with the preschool population (Essential)
- Hanen It Takes Two to Talk trained and certified (preferred)
- Lidcombe fluency trained (preferred)
- Strength in teamwork and communication skills (Essential)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills (Essential)
- Bilingualism (English/French) (preferred)
- Willingness to work flexible hours (Essential)
- Computer skills (Essential)

RÉSUMÉ DES FONCTIONS

Le ou la titulaire travaille pour Programme de la petite enfance. Il ou elle effectue tout un éventail d’interventions axées sur les clients auprès des enfants du CHEO (jusqu’à l’âge d’admission à la maternelle) et de leurs familles ainsi que dans la collectivité. Ces activités comprennent de l’éducation, de l’évaluation, des programmes pour les parents, des traitements individuels et en groupe ainsi que des consultations aux parents et aux soignants. Le ou la titulaire a la responsabilité de fournir des services aux clients dans les domaines de la parole, du langage et de la fluidité verbale ainsi qu’aux familles dont la langue maternelle n’est ni le français, ni l’anglais.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Vérification des antécédents en vue d’un travail auprès de personnes vulnérables (Essentiel)
- Maîtrise en orthophonie (Essentiel)
- Adhésion à l’Ordre des audiologistes et des orthophonistes de l’Ontario (Essentiel)
