Job Overview
We are currently looking to add a Quality Analyst to support the quality team at our Hard Rock Mining Division in Sudbury, Ontario. The Quality Analyst will be responsible to m onitor, report and facilitate achievement of KPIs and quality measures, p articipate in the planning, development and implementation of quality initiatives in accordance with current operating procedures, recommend and participate in process improvement changes with various departments. This role will also s upport quality by building process, documentation control and standardization across the hard rock division according to Komatsu Mining standards.
Key Job Responsibilities

Collect, analyze and track data to produce metrics. (ie. cost of poor quality, etc.)

Identify, document and implement QA process improvements (process standardization, methodologies, tool utilization ) leveraging industry best practices.

Provide scheduled quality reports for projects and products and advise management of quality related issues or trends.

Evaluate quality risk and perform risk assessments as applicable. Recommend quality development priorities based on assessment.

Train and provide guidance on QA processes to other staff.

Responsible to escalate performance issues relative to performance metrics to Department Managers and Performance Leaders.

Participate in Six Sigma (MPC), 5S, and Lean Manufacturing quality improvement initiatives.

Liaison with customer and supplier quality representatives as applicable.

Drive adherence to Quality Management Systems through communication, training, internal auditing and leading quality projects/initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

Post-secondary education in quality engineering or equivalent

Previous experience with data collection and analysis

Previous training and experience using 6S principles

3+ years of previous experience with documentation procedures, ISO audits, etc.

Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail

Good communication skills to work efficiently with internal production, management, sales personnel and customers/vendors as required and produce concise reports

Must have excellent computer skills to file reports and maintain quality documentation control including MS Office; Excel, Word and ERP system use. SAP experience is an asset

2-3 years of Process Quality experience

ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification is preferred
