This is for one sale only to be held in August of 2024 at Woodbine Race Track, Rexdale, Ontario. Five days required on site.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide insightful commentary on the pedigrees, bloodlines, and notable achievements of the horses being presented for auction, enhancing the audience's understanding of each horse's breeding and potential.
- Capture the audience's attention with engaging commentary and anecdotes, creating excitement and interest in the auction proceedings while imparting valuable information about the horses being offered for sale.
- Educate potential buyers about the significance of pedigrees, breeding trends, and the importance of selecting horses with strong bloodlines.
- Assist potential buyers in understanding the significance of pedigree information in relation to a horse's suitability for various disciplines, such as racing, breeding, or sport.
- Work closely with the auctioneer, sales team, and marketing staff to ensure seamless coordination of announcements and presentations throughout the auction event.
- Address inquiries from potential buyers regarding specific pedigrees, bloodlines, or performance records, providing accurate and detailed information to assist them in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the auction event by leveraging expertise in pedigrees to highlight key selling points and attract potential buyers.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, projecting confidence and authority while conveying passion and enthusiasm for the horses being presented for auction.
**Requirements**:
- In-depth knowledge of horse pedigrees, bloodlines, and breeding practices, with the ability to analyze and interpret pedigree information to assess a horse's potential value and performance.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex pedigree information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner to audiences with varying levels of horse industry knowledge.
- Genuine passion for horses and the equine industry, coupled with a desire to share knowledge and promote the understanding and appreciation of horse pedigrees
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in the presentation of pedigree information and the ability to recognize and highlight noteworthy achievements and connections
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to captivate and engage audiences while maintaining professionalism and credibility.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with auction staff, sales representatives, and marketing professionals to deliver a cohesive and successful auction experience.
**Education and Experience**
Proven experience in public speaking, broadcasting, or equine-related roles demonstrating expertise in horse pedigrees.

Contract length: 5 days
**Salary**: $1,000.00 per day
