**Supervisor Job Description**
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize and responsible for staff shifts, backfill shifts with supply
- Orientation and coach staff
- Evaluate and coach staff on developmentally appropriate activities and experiences following “How Does Learning Happen”
- Respect and live the four foundations of HDLH
- coach staff through parent interactions and using child developmental tools
- Participate in professional development including organizing and leading monthly staff meetings
- Responsible for ensuring the staff are following sanitizing and best health practices, meeting Health Unit Standards, participate and follow up with Health Unit Inspections
- Responsible for ensuring the staff are following Minsitry standards and participate in Ministry inspections. Ensuring compliance.
- Support staff with children with development needs, collaborating with KW consultants
- Offering a welcoming environment to children, families, educators and third party guests
- Validate concerns and problem solve, communicate complaints, issues and concerns to the Director
- Responsible for communicating with parents and staff daily in a positive and professional manner
- Be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the centre when required. Hours of Operation 7am-6pm
- Responsible for ensuring the completion all applicable “paper work” for the classroom eg. attendance, daily log, sanitizing record, record of illness, documentation
- Collaborative teaching, positive and professional relationships with fellow Educators and Third Party Consultants
- Responsible for keeping children engaged and involved in purposeful and meaningful activities
- Responsible for following and adhering to all of Elite’s Day Care Policies and Procedures
- Ensure Health and Safety for all
- Staff Medical (includes MMR, DPT, TB test)
- RECEs must maintain their CECE membership, complete and maintain CPL and follow Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
- Observe & Use the Communication app; newsletter, calendar, post pictures, documentation, other records and to effective communicate with parents.
- Assist in Creating and Use of Social Media to train staff, networking and communicating with staff.
- Able to work closely with The Staff and rest of The Admin Team
- Needs to have excellent communicational skills both verbal and written.
- Needs to work well with staff and under pressure
- Needs to be reliable and punctual
- Needs to willing to learn
Pay: $26.86-$27.86 per hour
