We are currently looking for an **Dozer Operator** to join our growing team
**Language**:
- English
**Education**:
- Not required, certificate or diploma is an asset.
**Duties, include but not limited to**:
- Operating bulldozer grading equipment to fine grade, spread & push piles of sand, soil and aggregate materials.
- Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Understand, interpret and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
- Drive Dozer in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals.
- Use the Dozer to level soil, move rock and debris, and scoop soil.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
- Ensure dozer is in proper gear, and is not moving too fast for working conditions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma is an asset.
- Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g. hand and power tools, etc.)
- Ability to handle the weight handling of mass up to 45kg (100lbs)
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and best practices within areas of responsibility.
- Satisfactory health and attendance.
- Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver’s licence, have an acceptable driving record as well as having a means of transportation.
**Company Policy Criteria**:
- No Smoking allowed in all equipment and vehicles.
