Finish Raker

Operate the asphalt rake to distribute asphalt evenly on road surfaces with precision and exactness.
- Responsible for ensuring that the asphalt is raked to the desired level and thickness, with clean edges and unmarbled finish.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that the asphalt is applied correctly and meets specifications.
- Perform daily maintenance of the asphalt rake including cleaning and sharpening.
- Assist the asphalt paving crew in other tasks as needed, such as shoveling or compacting.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure a smooth paving process.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including daily work logs and equipment maintenance records.

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a finish raker on high caliber projects requiring finesse.
- Drivers’ license, ability to transport trailer to site.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to take on complex tasks with a respectful demeanor.
- Ability to accept direction from site foremen.
- The following motions are performed repeatedly throughout the day: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
- Requires routine lifting of up to 50 pounds.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
