**Qualifications**:

- Good working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Health and Safety experience and knowledge
- Team oriented, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think and react to changing conditions as needed
- Flexibility to accommodate varying shift times if necessary
- Self-motivated and able to work well under limited supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the development and implementation of the company HSE management program
- Help develop and update safety policies and procedures
- Assist in identifying and acquiring PPE
- Review documents related to safety and to recommend & implement solutions to safety issues
- Maintain and update electronic safety data bases, environmental data bases
- Participate and support Health & Safety Committee meetings
- Assist with safety orientations and training activities
- Provide topics for discussion at toolbox meetings
- Assist with investigations, near misses, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ability to go to work sites and support supervisors
- Assist with annual HSE improvement plans
- Help with safety pre-qualifications, insurance requests and tracking safety certificates
- Assist with annual COR Audits
- Enthusiastically participate and maintain positive team environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned
