**Description**:
Reporting to the Manager - Sport and Facilities, the Receptionist - Arena ensures that the activities organized in the Arena proceed smoothly and provides customer service to users and citizens.

**General responsibilities and goals**:
The jobholder’s main responsibilities are as follows:
- Verify the Outlook schedule for Arena activities, make changes as necessary and notify appropriate groups and staff.
- Post assignment of players’ changing rooms and make corrections as required.
- Answer customer questions about ice rental, room rental and activities offered at the Arena.
- Issue items loaned by the Arena (keys, chairs, tables and other objects) and keep a record of such loans.
- Ensure that activities at the Arena proceed safely and smoothly; notify his or her superior and other departments (e.g. Public Security, fire station, ambulance, police) of any abnormal event (power failure, violence, theft, breakage, injury, etc.).
- Intervene, as needed, to provide first aid.
- Monitor air quality levels.
- Distribute and receive registration forms for Arena activities.
- Keep track of the Arena’s petty cash.
**Job requirements**:
The jobholder must have a high school diploma and one year’s experience in a job ensuring familiarity with the sector, such as work in a sports and leisure environment or work involving sports associations.
The position also requires the following:
- Bilingualism (spoken and written French and English);
- Ability to communicate with the public.
The following will be seen as assets:
- A valid certificate from a first aid course recognized by the City of Pointe-Claire;
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
**Schedule**:
Available shifts:
Monday to Friday, from 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
